Privacy Policy

How PatiAI handles account data, usage metering, payments, AI providers, and your local workspace files.

This Privacy Policy explains how PatiAI ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use PatiAI Desktop, the Customer Portal at patiai.work, and related services (the "Service"). It complements our Terms of Service.

1. Overview

PatiAI is designed so that your project files stay on your computer when you use Desktop. The cloud account stores information needed to authenticate you, manage prepaid credits, record usage, process payments, and operate the platform.

2. Information we collect

Account and identity

  • Email address, display name, and password hash when you register.
  • Email verification status and password-reset tokens.
  • Preferred language and basic session cookies for the website.
  • Admin role flag if your account is promoted to administrator.

Desktop usage and metering

  • Device identifier, platform (Windows), app version, and activation timestamps.
  • Credit reservations, commits, and ledger entries for AI jobs.
  • Model selected, approximate token usage, and job metadata needed for billing and support.
  • Crash reports or diagnostic logs if you submit them or if error reporting is enabled.

Payment information

  • Payment method type (card, PromptPay), amount, currency, and transaction status from our payment processor.
  • We do not store full card numbers on PatiAI servers. Card data is handled by our payment provider.
  • Invoice and top-up history linked to your account.

Website and portal

  • Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages visited, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
  • CSRF tokens and session identifiers for authenticated portal pages.

What we do not intentionally collect

  • Contents of your local workspace, open files, or private repositories unless you explicitly attach them to a chat or export feature sends them to a model provider.
  • We do not sell your workspace content or use it for advertising profiles.

3. How we use information

  • Authenticate Desktop and portal sessions.
  • Enforce device limits and protect accounts from abuse.
  • Meter and deduct prepaid credits; show usage in Portal → Usage.
  • Process credit purchases and respond to billing questions.
  • Send transactional email (verification, password reset, payment receipts where applicable).
  • Improve reliability, debug errors, and detect fraud or Terms violations.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. AI model providers

When you run an AI job, prompts and necessary context may be transmitted to third-party model providers (for example OpenAI, DeepSeek, Google, or others configured by PatiAI) to generate a response. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Choose models and prompts carefully; do not send secrets you are not willing to share with the selected provider.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We may share information with:

  • Payment processors to complete top-ups.
  • AI infrastructure providers to fulfill model requests.
  • Email delivery services for transactional messages.
  • Hosting and infrastructure vendors that operate patiai.work under confidentiality obligations.
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information to data brokers.

6. Roles, teams, and administrators

Today PatiAI accounts are individual. If you are assigned an Administrator role, you may access other users' account metadata, usage summaries, and platform settings necessary to operate the service—similar to team admin dashboards in enterprise products. Admins must use that access only for legitimate operational purposes.

Future organization or team features may allow invited members under a shared policy. We will update this Privacy Policy before launching material team-data features.

7. Data retention

  • Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, billing, and security needs.
  • Usage and ledger records may be retained to support credit disputes and accounting.
  • Server logs are rotated on a schedule appropriate for security monitoring.
  • You may request account deletion by contacting support@patiai.work. Some records may be retained where law requires.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, hashed passwords, session protections, and access controls for admin functions. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use a strong unique password and revoke lost devices from Portal → Devices.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Update display name and password in Portal → Settings.
  • Revoke Desktop devices you no longer use.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by emailing support from your verified address.
  • Depending on your region (including EEA/UK/Thailand), you may have additional privacy rights. We will respond to verified requests within applicable timelines.

10. Cookies

The website uses essential cookies for language preference, login sessions, and CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the core portal.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. We take steps to protect data consistent with this Policy regardless of location.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be communicated through the portal or email where appropriate.
